Detective Paul Kinder was in the Quick Chek on Pompton Road Tuesday night when he saw David Harrison, 42, stashing the Red Bulls into a heavy winter jacket, Detective Capt. Laurence Martin said.
Kinder arrested Harrison, who twice had "a simulated seizure, throwing himself on the floor," Martin said.
A medical evaluation found no health concerns, he added.
Harrison, whose criminal record includes 30 arrests, had several oustanding warrants worth $9,000 from New Jersey -- including from Wayne (2), Clifton (3), Pompton Plains (2), Lincoln Park and and Newark, as well as San Diego, Martin said.
Harrison was sent to the Passaic County Jail on the warrants -- and ordered released by a judge under the New Jersey Bail Reform & Speedy Trial Act the following afternoon.
